OneWeb and iSAT Africa pioneer new solutions to bridge the digital divide in Africa
A new Distribution Partnership Agreement brings high-speed, low-latency LEO broadband to Central, Western and Eastern Africa.

OneWeb, the Low Earth Orbit satellite communications company, and iSAT Africa, an integrated communications services provider, have signed a Distribution Partnership Agreement to bring high-speed, low-latency broadband connectivity across Africa.
The partnership combines OneWeb's satellite technology with iSAT Africa's extensive experience in rural connectivity, fixed and mobile satellite services, enterprise and broadcasting. Together they share an objective of connecting the unconnected and serving underserved communities, which will grow the regional economy and improve access to education and healthcare.
iSAT Africa will deliver reliable LEO broadband throughout Central, Western and Eastern Africa, offering integrated solutions for enterprise connectivity, remote access and rural connectivity. With its global constellation recently completed, OneWeb will continue to reach areas previously too remote for reliable connectivity.
“This new partnership presents us with the opportunity to bring connectivity to people, businesses, and governments across Africa. iSAT Africa has laid the groundwork in getting many people connected, and they are well positioned to expand their network and geographical reach.”
“We are thrilled to partner with OneWeb to bring reliable and high-speed broadband connections to underserved areas in Africa. This partnership is a big step towards closing the digital divide.”
iSAT Africa and OneWeb both attended CabSat 2023 in Dubai, 16–18 May 2023.
